facebook planning to launch skype-powered video chat

In response to Google+'s video conferencing function, social networking site Facebook is about to launch Skype-powered video chat that works in browser. Facebook has hit a record 750 million users. The new service could be a huge boost for Skype, which currently has about 145 million regular users.

Facebook’s Skype service which is  initially limited to one-to-one video chat  will be free. Skype chief executive Tony Bates said the deal with Facebook was only the start of a potentially lucrative partnership.

Even though  Google+'s features are similar to those already available on Facebook, Google is generating interest with its videoconferencing function, which supports up to 10 people in a video call.

Zuckerberg hinted that video chat for multiple people could eventually be available on Facebook, but he said that most video chats today occur between two people.

In addition to those, the social networking site has been introducing various services to capture more online users. For instance, it has launched a new payment system — Facebook Credit — in India.

How to upload animated gifs or moving pictures in Facebook

Actually Facebook does not support animated gifs or moving pictures. But Please note that there are some Facebook applications which provides this facility. Some of these applications are Cute Animated Gif , Animated Gifs , Animated gifs by kathy etc. These applications provides free animated gif images. You can share these images or add these to your album through the application. But Please note that if you download these images and upload it to your album, it will show only the first image of the image sequence.
